Camp Oty'Okwa… 
is a multi-building facility open year-round with over 600 scenic acres surrounded by the forests of the Hocking Hills State Park and Nature Preserves.

Camp Oty’Okwa has been owned and operated by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio since 1942 and easily accommodates multiple rentals. Central Campus at Camp Oty’Okwa is set atop one of the highest hills in the area and is surrounded by steep terrain, mature woodlands, rock formations, hollows and caves. This environment provides an excellent site for exploration and appreciation of nature.

Camp Oty’Okwa offers a variety of lodging opportunities. Lodging for Group Rentals is located within the Central Campus area, and the Cabins at Camp Oty’Okwa are located on the outskirts of the Central Campus area.

Venard Cabin
Occupancy - 6 guests
Venard Cabin is an 1850’s log cabin with all of the modern conveniences nestled in the serene forest of Camp Oty’Okwa.

Coultrap Lodge
Occupancy - 25 guests

The lodge is fully equipped and provides a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere for a variety of retreats and outings.

Cardinal Lodge A&B
Occupancy - 10 guests per unit

The lodge offers two side-by-side bunkhouse units. Each unit sleeps 10 and includes a kitchenette, full bath, sitting area, fire ring with grill and yard space for an additional tent. This unit is ideal for scouts and youth groups all year round.

These three cabins are located outside Central Campus and are available for rent online. Guests renting these three cabins DO NOT have use of the central campus, however DO have permission to:

• Access the camp’s private hiking trails
• Seasonal usage of the in-ground pool
• Bring their pets

Camp Oty’Okwa also offers lodging accommodations and dining facilities for larger groups up to 200 throughout the year.

Group Rentals, such as schools, churches, business conferences and retreats, have access to all of camp’s hiking trails and Central Campus.

Environmental Education
• Team Building

The goal of these programs is to build self-esteem through self-challenging experiences in the outdoors and to instill a sense of value of the natural environment and of one another. Camp Oty’Okwa works hand-in-hand with schools to develop a curriculum that is tailored to the particular needs of their students.

Summer Camp
for children ages 6 through 14.

Camp Oty’Okwa is and has been home to thousands of Little Brothers, Little Sisters and children from all over Ohio.

Our Summer Camp program for children provides experiences that are designed to help build positive self-images and self-esteem while developing an appreciation for nature and the environment.

Children have the opportunity to participate in activities such as:
• Hiking
• Camping
• Swimming
• Arts & Crafts
• Fishing
• Canoeing
• Low Ropes Initiatives
• Environmental Exploration
